This past weekend we hosted our first event of the year and it really was something memorable for me, to reconnect and meet new faces all while serving you some desserts!
It was an absolute pleasure to host the event in collaboration with the Paper & Tea Utrecht as always. We served up some teas and Desserts that has the essence of spring. It took a while to figure out this menu especially since coming back from holiday and feeling a little rusty but, I must say that it’s one that I’m proud of.
Menu
Lychee and Osmanthus flower Tart Paired with the Oriental Beauty
Red cabbage Mousse with White chocolate and candied Red cabbage paired with Bollywood tea
Lavender white chocolate Panna Cotta with an Orange sponge and Maple honeycomb paired with the Red Earl

After this event I realized that it’s been a year since we’ve started the Dessert Club, it really made me feel quite emotional. Meeting new people and being able to present what I’ve been what to experimenting with in the kitchen really feels like a dream.
The one dessert that was a a bit of an experiment is the second course and turned out to be the majority favorite including mine in all honesty

Getting the opportunity to share these types of desserts that are weird and make you think ends up being one of the things that people enjoy about the events.
In commemoration of it being a year of doing this I wanted to have a dessert on offer to share with your loved ones at home. I don’t generally make a dessert offering that is inline with holidays but this time around I thought why not.
The dessert will be the one that started it all the Vanilla sponge with a Mango Miso filling with a Sesame Seed Brittle. It will be pick up order just to celebrate how far we’ve come with all the new additions to the club.

It will be a little taller version so that you will be able to share a little more ! I’ll share more updated photos soon.
I will send a mail out once the pre-order available.
Upcoming event
The next event will be in June and the specific date will be announced shortly, it will be in Summer just before everyone head off on vacation.
