This Past Saturday we had a pop-up at Paper and Tea Utrecht, I selected some of he Dessert Club favourites that you would be able to come have a taste. A sneak peak at what you can expect when you join one of our events. It was honestly such A lovely day to meet new people and see the reactions to the funky desserts. I would like to take everyone that showed up even in the not so nice weather, some of the Dessert Club members that came through as well.

I think what made this pop-up special was that I had time to chat and have a proper catch up compared to when I’m hosting the events. I’m still a bit of a one woman show so I’m not as present as I would like during the events. The pop-up just made more space and time to really connect, I’m hoping to make that more of a regular thing to give a bit of a sneak peak at the Favourites

Dessert Breakdown

This is the menu from the pop-up and the Best Seller was the Choco Shroom Cake. we sold out if that dessert, I blame the candied mushrooms! One of the customers I spoke to for a while towards the end of the day mentioned that it tasted like an earthy liquorish. If you’ve been following me for a while than you kind of notice that i have a bit of an obsession with candying veg and incorporating them into my desserts. It all started with the Spiced Velvet Cake that is topped with candied Beetroot. This was the beginning of me exploring what else can I do with veg!

The Not Ice Cream has a special place in my heart as it was one of the first desserts that was served at the Dessert Club and it was an absolute hit! It’s been in the rotation for a while cause it’s just that good. So tooting my own horn haha let me !

The Red Bean Tartlet is kind of new, it’s a bit of a spin on one of the desserts that I severed previously. I made a Red Bean Rice pudding with maraschino cherries and white chocolate. The format of the dessert just didn’t fit the to-go vibe so I changed it just a tiny bit. It worked perfectly with the Pure Matcha that you can get from Paper and Tea.

Over all it was a perfect day and looking forward to seeing some new faces at our next event in April. Since you go the sneak peak then you should really join us for the full experience. you can purchase your ticket below and I hope to see you there.

I’m whipping up some new desserts to pair with some amazing tea selection from Paper and Tea !

If you haven’t subscribed to my website then you will probably be the last to hear about new and updates. To stay in the loop and get occasional recipes you know what to do !
